Just a quick update to add something to the collective wisdom of the list. What I had thought was a fuel leak was actually a bad distributor. Actually, the distributor o-ring was leaking oil into the distributor and therefore no spark, no spark flooded the injectors and fuel began to drip when attempting to start the van.

Replaced the distributor and everything is fine.
