So I was looking the rust that is creeping slowly into the seam points on
the van and had a strange thought. Let me here your thoughts...

Why not brush/grind/sand out the rust to bare metal, cover with POR15, then
fill all the van seams with some type of filler to prevent any moisture
build up in there. 

I was not sure what the best way to fill the seam would be, one thought was
Bondo, another was using.. And I know its strange but the thought crossed my
mind... Silicone! 

They have silicone which lasts for over 20 years ( I saw something from GE
that said it lasted 45years!) that can be painted and remains flexible. I
thought maybe since my van is silver I could silver Silicone to seal in the
seam after the POR15. I know itıs a weird and wacky idea.

Let me know here all the problems with the idea and what the solution is. I
thought the vanıs lines would look better if all the seam areas were filled
before it got a new paint job.

POR Makes a new material for this type of job, your thoughts:
