I'm assuming you want to mount the satellite radio antenna in/on a westy.

Mine has a magnetic antenna and I chose to keep it inside the van. I have it about half way between the poptop latch and the driver's side of the vehicle ... on that little ledge just aft of where the forward part of the canvas attaches. The fiberglass top is transparent to the antenna and it receives just fine in that location. You may have to move it a bit one way or the other for best reception.

I live in northern Maine and I drove to Tennessee and back only losing signal in tunnels and under some bridges ... as expected ... no matter where the antenna might be.

Others have mounted it under the luggage rack (again the fiberglass is transparent) but I didn't because I sometimes carry things in the rack that would restrict signal.

My Sirius "Tuner" is the type that connects to my Sirius Ready head unit so it is currently under the driver's seat. A whole different thing compared to the ones where the little receiver plugs into a mount that must be located where it is accessible.
