Volks!

Just curious how many of you folks find the vw rear bed upholstory a bit on the too firm side? I have heard from a friend the westy bed is quite comfortable (which I dont have) and I am wondering if I am just a whimp. I have the weekender bed in my 87 syncro and I have to say its a bit too firm for my taste. I am wondering if the foam gets old and perhaps harder to sleep on. My 89 wolfy with the zebra stripe seemed to have a much softer foam used in the front and rear z bed.

Have any of you have done anything with your rigs for camping to increase the comfort? Over the weekend I picked up a nice Novaform memory foam mattress topper for the back of my rig. The full size fits good and is really really nice by comparison.

I have called around my area to the "foam shops" to see if I can buy foam to replace the vw sleeping cushion in the back with the same stuff. Also, considering rebuilding the rear bench weekender seat with the same stuff.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Doug
