Having difficulty setting the throttle switch. I can remove the throttle and set the switch almost perfectly. When I reinstall it, and hook up the throttle return spring, I sometimes get no ECU cut out at idle. Only the full throttle cut out. This especially when cold.
I think what is happening , is that the throttle shaft is being "bent" off vertical by the return spring. This is because of worn shaft bushings on each side of the throttle plate.Throttle has 62K on it. I replaced the actual switch with another as the old was defective.Still, no work proper. I see that the bushings are plastic, or rubber covered. I can wiggle the shaft a tiny bit.Can these be removed and replaced? Where can I get them? How do I remove them? They are very small. Thanks Roger
