I think the wiring upgrade is the #1 most important upgrade. Second I'd say is switching from those awful US-DOT rectangular reflectors to round E-Code H4's (and you might as well go with higher wattage bulbs, since you'll be buying them anyway). For that you can go with the SA grill (I did), but even an 80-85 type two-headlight grill would be perfectly adequate. The inner lights of the SA grill look neat, but they don't add all that much to the lighting, particularly if you have 100/80W high output bulbs in the outers. -- John Bange '90 Vanagon - "Geldsauger" |
