Let me start by saying: I like the bus depot's selection and prices. They're an asset to the vanagon community, no doubt about it. I don't think I've ever had them get an order wrong, either, which I'm pretty impressed by.

THAT SAID, this "expedited shipping" business is always what has frustrated me the most about BD. I live in 1-day UPS ground range of BD, but would have to pay extra for expedited shipping to get an order from them in less than 5 days---once or twice I even considered driving a couple of hours to pick up what I needed. When your pinching pennies to keep your van running, paying extra to have a part shipped on time is a real hassle. The paranoid dude in the back of my mind is always worried that it's a scheme to encourage us to cough up the extra for expedited shipping. If Ron says they're backed up, though, I guess they're just backed up.
