The "Westy Weekender" nickname is cute until someone needs to find a value for one in Kelly Blue Book or in the model info section on Vanagon.com; it's not in either place nor in any VWoA documentation I have ever seen.

My '91 Carat had a Westfalia tag on the fold-down rear seat - doesn't that make it a "Westy Weekender" too?

A "weekender" in Vanagon terms is a passenger van with a rear seat that folds out into a bed.

A Camper is a vehicle with a pop-top roof.

You want a Camper, the non-GL or Wolfsburg Edition variety; the best, most useful model of Vanagon ever built. :>)

See my signature for more info that you really need.

Good luck,
