Subject: My 91 GL rides like a truck

I have a 91 GL that rides horribly. It had worn out KYB shocks that I replaced with bilsteins. The van appears to have the same springs as a Carat. I expect it to ride a little harsher than my Westy, but this thing is killing my kidneys. Are bilsteins too stiff? Do stock bogue units ride better on stock lowered springs? The van also has car tires, but I can't imagine that causing this poor of a ride. New Jersey roads aren't helping matters.
