Subject: updating headlights - the options
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

hi list,

after a dark night driving my square headlights i need to chage somethin. i assembled a list of options, would be happy about comments and experiences.

sorted from cheap to expensive.

- adding relays and new wiring, then runnning 80/100 watt bulbs. I know several venders sell wiring relay kits for around 40$, but according to the instruction on vanagon.com rewiring from all the way back at the battery is necessary? and is it cheaper to just buy relays and cable?

- exchanging the square lights by standard european square lights. fastforward.ca suggests these are better - and i would be able to pick up a set for under a hundred in germany. is there really a difference?

-echanging the grill and lights for a projektzwo grill, used cost around 150$, has anyone experience with those? especially vs the S.A. arrangement?

- the s. a. grill. available in germany for 200$

oh yes, i already ordered used projektzwo foglights in germany for 100$, so i dont have to start a foglight thread.......

florian
