sounds like your mechanic is a fraud if he is not measuring the hard parts before ordering bearings and such. make him take it out and tear it down, then make him fix it or take it to a real engine shop to have it built. oh and by the way its my opinion that all 1.9 and perhaps 2.1 engines should be line bored when they are rebuilt.
