If it is working correctly, it will give off C02 & H2O, lots of the latter. But the heater AND YOU need O2, hence the reason for opening a window (oxygen depletion). When I used one, I just cracked the slider an inch or so, sometimes the skylight. But the amount of condensation it gave off was a real nuisance and potential for internal rust. I know the Propex is pretty expensive, but I paid $8,500 for another brand, NA in the U.S. Okay, it had an '88 Westy attached :), but I detached it and put the heater in my '90 along with a second propane tank. Best investment I ever made. Jerry
