Subject: Rod Bearing Question 1.9L Build
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all in the 1.9L Saga im just hanging the rods and installed the bearings and they seem a bit narrow. Meaning they dont fit the width of the saddle. all Clearances on the side to side and everything else is good but i thought the bearing fit the same width as the Rod saddle is all. I was told the type 1 rod bearing was the same as a 1.9L Rod bearing. this is true isnt it??

Also just got the case back from the steam cleaner and it is spotless. i also sent out the case for the 1.9L that had a little leak from the cylinder and head that i pulled out of my 85 to install the motor that is in there now that has low oil pressure. just cant seem to win. so im building my own should have the short block done by saturday night. may even get the p&cs hung if im lucky.

c-ya Jonce
