ok, so as i understand the original watertank is still in place. this means you can still connect to the electrical connectors on the tank. so you just need to rewire and need a new display. if you can obtain an original led element you can mount it to the water tank cabinet. if you cannot get that element buy anything like it that holds the three or 4 lamps or led's you need. the only thing you need to do is select lamps that work with the voltage you will use, which is 12v if you take the car battery or anything less, maybe 3 or 4.5v if you use a mini battery pack. then run the following wires: lowest watertank connector to a switch, from there on to powersource, from there to each lamp from each lamp to one of the higher connectors of the watertank. the idea is that the water in the tank closes the electrical curcuit between the connectors and therefor the lights light up, the higher the water level, the more lights light up. florian
