I'm about to possibly deal with Costco for tires for my VW Fox. (they're
having a $60 off on purchase of 4 Michelins.)

I might just need two tires, I'll have to take a look. If I do need only
two--which of course are the front two--Costco will only mount two new tires on
the rear axle no matter if it's a 2WD or 4WD. So this means I would have to
"rotate" the bad tires to the rear axel, bring it to Costco, have them mount
two new rear tires, get it home and "rotate" the new tires to the  front axle
where I want the newer tires and put the old ones back on the  rear..."company
policy."

Honestly I don't know what we'd do if we didn't have big corporations to do
the thinking for us.
