Who's to say it would only be used for a short joyride?

Here in Toronto one of the most popular vehicles stolen is an early Dodge Caravan. Mostly because their primitive locks are easily dealt with. But they're not stolen for joy riding. (Go figure) Instead, the thieves use the minivan to haul away the booty from a subsequent burglary or two. It's not at all uncommon for the vehicle to be recovered a few days later completely thrashed and littered with the remnants of local break-and-enters.

With the supply of early caravans rusting into oblivion it wouldn't be surprising to see some of the thieves looking to an alternative hauler, and since lower BC is littered with westys I think their baitcar program is right on target.

Happy trails,

Right on Greg, The first thing a Bank Robber Usually does is; Steal a get-away/transfer Car !! JC..
