I looked at all the posts in the archives concerned with insulating the body of the vanagon. I want to "paint" the interior body as the first layer to protect the painted sheet metal from rust, or developing more rust. Does anyone have a preference for this?

I came up with rust bullet - www.rustbullet.com - as what on first read, seems the best way to go. Opinions?

Hi Jeff, Just painted the interior in my 85 Westy. & I think this would apply to any style bus. & it concerns the lower body panel seam rust problem. After spraying anti rust solution & letting it soak in. Then wiping the surface clean, I bought a tube of 3M seam sealer. The kind that dry's pretty hard & solid. I applied it heavily along the floor of this panel, In the corner of the channel between the sheet metal & the interior. And, on an angle, to promote "run off" of any moisture that may ever collect there. I also ran it up the sides a bit. I then primer over the top of it. Seam rust..... goooo awwayyy !!! Just food fer thought, YMMV :o) John C. SLC, UT... Just a thought
