Go t a welding supply or good paint supply and get a spray "Cold Galvanizing" paint. This paint is zinc rich to the point that it becomes sacrificial. POR 15 products also work.

I've got a mess. Battery cracked, acid leaked intot he box, corrosion all over the palce, BB paint peeled up. Very nasty. I though a box of soda in there and scrubbed it down with a wire brush as best I could, then flushed it with lot's of water. But it still looks nasty and I'm afraid the corrosion will come back.

I've never seen a successful BB repair. The corrosion always came back and bubbled up the paint.

Anybody got any ideas how to completely kill the acid and corrosion, and some kind of paint that will stay put over the repaired surface of the box and provide future corrosion protections??

Thanks,

Regards,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
