    I think the screen thing flops around on the end of the hose. Helps
avoid sucking air when the level is low. I BELIEVE that this feature is
unique to the 86 and later cars.
    BTW, I have noticed that when a 86 later car begins to run out of
gas, I can wag the steering wheel (and the car) to slosh the gas tank
and actually make the car go a lot further. I've nursed one 20 miles before!
But, I've never been able to do this with my 82 diesel. Because it's a
diesel or because it's earlier? Anybody know?
