Lots of discussion in the past on this list and the Syncro at Yahoogroups.com list about the issues that people have with getting 15" tires stored underneath. Most have to alter the clamshell or create an alternative. Several viable alterations are available. Others mount the tire on a carrier added to the rear of the car.

A larger diameter tire will in effect change your gearing and rob you of power to accelerate and climb hills. That may not be an issue for your engine, but it is for the stock WBX engines. Putting the 15" rims and much larger tires on my Syncro didn't make it undriveable, but there was a noticeable loss of power. I used BFG AT KO's and am very happy with that tire. Quiet on the road and improved handling greatly.
