Just a short note to let you all know I have not  gone off and forgot about
you all.  Currently around Bakersfield, CA at a  Flying-J.  Heading to Aptos
(Santa Cruz) for tomorrow to meet up with my  daughter April who thinks she has
moved to paradise.  Probably stop in at  Van Cafe to say hello.  Anyone in the
area up for a few beers and  conversation let me know.  Will check e-mails
again once in Aptos  tomorrow.  Probably leaving Sunday and heading for Mexico
as was originally  planned.  Travelog with pictures at > _Profile for

(http://www.busesbythebridge.com/)  was great  and got to meet many greats of the
Vanagon List and VW community.  Even  heard about someone trying to sue us, HA !
 BBB was well worth the  trip even though we did not win the beautiful quilts
given away.  And, yes  the '87 Westy with Boston Bob's Big Valve motor is
performing flawlessly.   Now that I've said that watch what happens !
