Subject:      what to do with starter motor bushing?

Hey guys,
I just got my Bosch rebuilt starter from vanagain in the mail.   In
includes a little baggie with a washer, the nut for the top of the
wiring stud, and a bushing.  It comes with a bright orange colored piece
of paper that says I need to install this in the motor housing before I
put in the starter.  I removed my starter yesterday, but didn't take out
a bushing.  How will I remove the bushing?  With my fingers?
