Subject: Many more Vanagons at BBB

Last year out of about 200 VW vans only about 10 were Vanagons at the great Buses By The Bridge in Lake Havasu. We were mostly all clustered together, surrounded by a sea of split windows and bays. This year out of at least 250 VW vans, about 50 Vanagons were there. This time they were interspersed all around the event in addition to the main cluster of us. I wondered if these were mostly new VW van owners or people who have moved up from older models to the cream of the crop, IMO. In any case, it made for a big difference in the way I perceived the event since I no longer felt at all like an interloper. All of the event posters, badges, shirts, displays, quilts, etc.were still completely devoid of any Vanagon images. I wonder if and when that will change.
