yea i think the first year for the LT series was '74 or '75... around when the Golf 1 (rabbit) came out.. when i was in europe back in '98, i saw a bunch of LT's...some 28's, some newer 31's (with the squarish vanagon looking headlights). i saw an older 28 that was for sale on a street in Brussles... i dont remember the price but i remember it was very cheap.. it was just a plain box van though.. not a camper.. i dont care what y'all say, i think theyre pretty cool....ungainly looking, but cool.. in the Wolfsburg museum there was a Syncro LT, doublecab..that was used as a support vehicle for the Dakkar road rally...IIRC... that was neat..
