My '85 has over 195,000 miles (314,000 kms) on it. I have repeatedly checked the speedometer with my GPS system and it reads low by 1 mph. When the speedometer says I'm doing 60 mph I'm actually doing 61. This is with 185-14 tires, too.

On long trips I set my after market cruise control (Equus 9000-B) to 64 (65 true) and drive 8 hour days. I chose that speed more for fuel economy than anything else. Faster and the gas mileage really suffers.

Anyway, it seems to like that speed and runs really well.
