Subject: Synthetic Poptop Tent Woes
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hello all,

I recently ordered a new poptop tent, one of the synthetic ones from GoWesty, and I put it on yesterday. Everything went smoothly until we got to the end and started to attach the bottom of the tent to the van. It was a nightmare trying to make this thing stretch to fit screws in. We did the back first, then went to the front and it was nearly impossible. After a lot of crafty maneuvering (and much frustration and cursing), we finally got the thing attached, but we simply could not fit the middle corner screws in each of the four corners, so we left them out (which didn't seem to be a huge deal since there's one screw on either side of the missing one). It also seems to have really stretched the seems along the corners, so that you can see light coming through the small holes of the outer seam.

Anyway, my plan is to seam sealer the thing up and use a sealent at the corners if necessary, but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or comments about this whole process. I really wish I'd taken four people and stretched the bottom out by the corners has hard as we could.

Many thanks,

Joshua
