the article by derek drew is great. the problem i see in this case is that it was not an original westy. the insurance company might just say a syncro passenger with a few extras was totalled - $2000 dollar? there is little data on the market value of later converted to syncro westies. i think i saw one go in WA for around 10k. if dealing with the insurance company maybe you might want to have a printout of the sold vehicle page of gowesty in your pocket?
