yes i have installed the RIGHT rear shoulderbelt in westys before, and i have
both right AND left rear in my 84 sunroof van. the install is easy, with
the stock rear shoulderbelts, and there is only one cut you have to make in the
vinyl wall panel so the seatbelt can come thru. i have a template of the
location so its not a problem, and the belts come with the plastic "escucheon"
bezel to cover the edge of the opening you have to cut in your panel so it looks
stock. . there is no drilling needed, the stock holes are already there under
the vinyl D pillar, just locate the hole, and poke it thru., its a bolt on
deal.
the 90-91 vanagon 7 passenger vans came with the rear shoulderbelts stock.
i have never installed the LEFT rear shoulderbelt in a westy though..seems
like it would be a complete hack job on the cabinet and render your cabinet
un-usable for hanging clothes in, etc..
i do have a pair of the rear shoulderbelts but they are already promised to a
lister. i do have the middle seat left shoulderbelt available if anyone
wants one. i might have an extra right rear shoulderbelt for sale as well if i
dont install it in my own westy.
