Don't forget that just because something is new that doesn't mean it's good. This is especially true for something that's rebuilt. Not long ago, I bought a rebuilt alternator (lifetime guarantee) from a FLAPS while traveling. It allowed me to finish the trip but also died shortly after getting home. I replaced it under the guarantee and the 2nd one seems to be doing ok. Your starter can still be suspect. Mike
