Probably isn't your daughter's problem however... I just had to replace the sending unit on my 86 Syncro (2nd time, in fact). A curious factor was that this time, the gas gauge seemed to be reading too low initially. Upon further investigating, it was discovered that the sending unit wasn't just rusty, it was in fact leaking gas out of the tank (in the Syncro tank the sending unit is on the side of the tank.) Replacement of the sending unit corrected both issues. |
