Using a pump through the dipstick tube misses a major benefit of draining the oil. How about using siphons to drain your kitchen sink instead of letting the water go quickly down the drain? Think of the much left on the sides and bottom of the sink! Well, draining the oil when hot, takes some debris or sediment with it. Pumping out the dipstick is like using a DVDR, but take your time and figure it out, perhaps by Sunday, Monday or any day of the week. We see time at our own pace. best wishes, gary
