Subject: Tire Report - Yokahoma Y356 C Tires

Not wanting to start another tire thread, but I'm so excited about my new tires, I just have to say something.

I had some Y 356 C tires installed yesterday. Man, what a difference. I was previously using Cooper SRM II 195 R 14 in a class D. The Yokohomas greatly reduced the road noise from the tires and were a whole lot easier on the bumps. I could actually carry on a conversation with my wife at 70+ mph without having to speak up. She had to keep asking me how fast we were going, because normally it's so loud at interstate speeds. Part of it could be that I went from a Class D to a Class C, but the ride is just so much nicer than what the Coopers were and they're just as stable. They also handle better in the rain than the Coopers did (FYI, I'm in middle TN and I was driving in all of that 3+ inches of rain in 24 hours across the mid-state yesterday).

I bought the tires from Tire Rack and had them shipped to the house for $261.00. I had the tires installed at a Wal-Mart and payed extra for the lifetime balance and rotation which cost me a total of $58.00. Total cost was $319.00.
