Actually if you look in the archives, the H&R's have been criticized before for both their hard ride and "curb hugging" height. Of course, this is to be expected - that is the nature of lowered performance springs (especially ones that are as "lowered" and "performance" as the H&R's are) - but that sort of ride is not for everybody. For those who need new springs and do not want that sort of ride, the replacement springs I sell (for 2WD Vanagons) are standard-height Boges from Germany. While Boge was the supplier of the factory springs, their aftermarket springs are are a bit different in design, but they do approximate that ride and height. I have found that this is more like what most customers seem to want on their Vanagons.
