Roger,

Thanks for the input. I was told when they fail the gauge usually goes hot and not cold and usually cause both gauges to fail to. Sounds like my issue may be with the sender unit as it's OHM readings were not in spec.

Also,there is a voltage stabilizer that affects the tempature gage. This is on the rear of the insturment cluster.Looks like a transister with 3 prongs, and a screw.Right behind the tachometer.This also affects the gas gauge,but I think it can affect the temp gauge seperately.
