Blake, One possible problem; if the correct sealer was not used under the head nuts. If an RTV which drys hard was used a leak may develop. To all those who a competent with engine rebuilds.

Is it common that heads have to be re-torqued after a rebuilt engine has been run in? Say after 1000 miles or so? Or should heads be completely tight from the moment the engine is assembled and throughout the rest of it's life?
