FYI for you Canadian residents;

You can bring ANY vehicle from ANYWHERE into CANADA if it is 15 years or older.

i.e. people are even importing JDM right hand drive Toyota Hiaces' into Canada. (The Toyota Hiace is a close form factor to the Vanagon, they are made into campers (even pop-tops in places like Australia/NZ.) Too bad they were never sold new in North America)

Check out the last Hiace on this page...4WD, 5 speed and Diesel, too bad RHD...
