Your engine should perform as I described previously, but the rpms to which it goes is significant. As I recall, without hunting down the specific numbers in the Bentley, the rpm should jump to 1300-1400 rpm. from about 850 rpm idle rpm. If it jumps to 1850 - 1000 rpm more that proper idle, then yes, you do have something happening,. It may be nothing more than the need to adjust the idle just a bit, or, you may have to go through a number of resets of various things to get it right.
