Jeff, Don't recall Ben mentioning pulley size. By assumption and knowing Ben, he would have built the 'test-bed' to realistically reflect a typical engine-bay configuration. Meaning, drive pulley larger than the alternator pulley. What was most surprising to Ben, was the Hp required to turn an alternator under a large load....

As Al & Sue added, the efficiency of the particular alternator and pulley diameter both, would influence the out-put results significantly.
