The Audi 80 uses the same pump as the Vanagon.... if you really want to make the Golf pump work, you are going to have to braze on a new fitting.

Hi,

I'm putting an Audi 80 (3A engine code) into an '86 westy using diesel parts. I'm using the small, round cast iron power steering pump and brackets from a '90 golf (engine code RV), because it it the only pump small enought to fit in the area between the engine suppport bars, the diesel pan, and the block. Problem: The pressure line from the Golf PS pump doesn't mate with the steel Vanagon PS line, nor do any other lines I could find. Anyone know of a stock solution out there? If I need a line custom built, any sources?

Thanks for the help in advance,

Sam
