any wheel will bend. i have like 3 vanagon OEM 14" alloys here that are bent, im using them as weights to hold a tarp down. here is an example. i had a vanagon loaded onto a rollback a few yrs ago. the retarted rollback driver loaded the van at an angle - and the alloy wheel came in contact with the 3" high railing on the rollback's deck as he was winching it up..at zero miles per hour.... OEM carat wheel was trashed. doesnt take much to bend any wheel.. i have a number of bent OEM steel wheels here too, from hitting potholes, etc. i dont care what the wheel came from, or was supposed to be on..if you whack a curb or a pothole hard enough you will bend it. chris |
