I might have gone with Boges but I replaced mine with KYB first. In 5 years the front KYB GR2's were out of gas. I replaced with Bilstein and they do perform better , especially on rough roads. But nothing is perfect. Within a few months the oil leaked out of the left front. Though I had to pay shipping, and wait a month, Shox.com replaced the defective shock. I had to ship the defective one back to them first . Now with about 4 years on these heavy duty Bilsteins. Vanagon springs are probably the reason Vanagons haren't a cushy ride. Robert
