Jake On the type 2 rockers shafts you need to remove the pedestal block and check the shaft itself to make sure the tapered side faces the head This is to accommodate the step on the stud. The push rods can also prevent you from starting the rocker shaft nut if the lifters are on the cam lobe Bob Donalds Boston Engine
