Sorry, The 2wd does have the 2 wire sensors. Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of rsf Sent: Wednesday, February 01, 2006 7:59 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: are sensor wires polarity specific? I replaced my water temp sensor (for dash gauge) and the connector was so corroded that I just put spades right on the wires to connect to the sensor. I'm curious if they have a polarity to them as my gauge went from reading 50% for normal driving conditions to 75% for normal driving conditions. Or is this just the temperamental nature of the sensitive system? The LED doesn't flash hot but I'm concerned once summer comes that the gauge will be sitting on 90% and not giving a very accurate indication of the temp. Shawn |
