My needle would sit right on the led or with the bottom edge of the needle just touching the top of the led when it was operating 'normally'... this is in 110 degree heat, town driving and the high speed fan would never come on (yes it does work). I was never very comfortable with it, and I'm going to check the radiator to make sure it's flowing properly; we have very hard water here and I don't know what the PO put in it- I've been using distilled. I've checked the archives about add-on oil coolers and water temperature gauges and the like. It sometimes gets to 122-125 around here and with running the air-conditioner it seems like 'less than half-way to go' isn't much of a margin of comfort (I realize how subjective that is). I'd just like to be able to ensure it stays in its operating range under 'extreme' conditions, as it were. For the other 90% of the year I've come to think of that needle position as 'normal' and not worry about it too much. Let us know what you figure out?

Cya, Robert
