OK I have some very weird shifting symtoms.

Towards the end of a VERY long drive to the West Coast and back (10,000 km / 6,000 miles). I was exiting the interstate and pulled my van out of gear, put in the clutch, but could not get into ANY gear.

I managed to coast into a gas station using inertia. I started the van in gear got it to the pumps, refilled with gas, and then the van drove normally for anther 1,000 m / 600 miles) home.

Now ocassionally second its hard to find, but that comes and goes. I don't think this is the clutch as I am not getting a "grind" when I try to change gears... its like the gear itself will not engage.

That said, I did have some symtoms a while back where I would accelerate but the revs increased much faster that the van accelerated (almost like I had the clutch part way in).

My van is a 1986 Syncro Westy GL with a stock 2.1L engine and tranny.

At 97,321km (59,254km / 36,577 miles / 6.5 years ago) the PO had the following work done: Transmission Linkage Clutch Final Drive Seals Input Seals Mainshart Beering 3rd & 4th syncro Needle Beering Mainshaft (used) 4th gear (used) Pinion Beering

At 111,229 km (45,346km / 27,991 miles / 3 years ago) I had had the transmission oil changed with readline and the brake / clutch fluid changed (Frank Condelli am I missing any other tranny work you did?)

Any thoughts?

P.S. Yes that math is right, the PO only drove the van 13,908km / 8,585 miles in the last 3.5 YEARS he owned it.
