RE: Seized 2.1L Jim, first get it into a shop that can diagnose the full problem, someone like Schaffner in Lynnwood (one I'm familiar with and trust) or several other good shops in the Seattle area. Are you sure the engine is actually seized or is there a possibility that there is some other problem that is giving the same symptoms? I replaced a 1.9L in an '85 about five years ago, long block from NW Connecting Rod was about $2,600 at that time with a 12 months/12,000 mile warranty. Double that amount for labor and the other parts that should be replaced at the same time.
