Subject: Re: Just replaced the throttle switch and am having drivability
              issues

Looked in the archives under "throttle switch adjustment" and got 5 hits in 11 years.Must be doin it wrong.Still got the symptoms and cant figure it out. Should pull ok a bit under 2000rpm,but it bucks. Especially in lower gears.Sometimes bucks at 2300rpm.

Tried the timing and readjusted the switch. I will do this again, as when I did the search, I found some interesting info. The gap of .002-.004 is to be set as the switch closes. You want the switch to close at .002-.004 as the throttle returns to the idle position. Not by just putting a feeler gauge between the throttle stop and screw, and setting the gap to .002- .004.As Spock would say,"interesting".

At impulse speed, in a parking lot,I am not having any fun.Seems something is out of adjustment.I checked for tribbles in the engine compartment and didnt find any.The transmission cant take much more of this.Any of you Star Fleet mechanics got a suggestion?
