on a related note:

not sure why, but when my temp gauge sender went bad and pinned the needle even at cold start up, the light would flash.  maybe it also warns of max temp?  the cooling system is working properly and is bleed as it should be.  i put in a new temp. gauge sender and the blinking stopped.

The only tank that matters for the coolant light is the main tank with a
hose coming from it's cap, not the tank you can check or add to from the
license plate door.
