OK, so these guys sweep up NASA's floors when they shatter a few of these Aerogel tiles. Next thing you know they are selling them for $30 a broken sliver?

Since it is so absorbent, it would not be suitable for Vanagon use as it will be full of moisture in no time. On top of that, any collision in the insulated panel will destroy the insulation not to mention scatter slivers of Aerogel all over the van. On a positive note, you would have a lot of $30 slivers to market on the Internet.
