I recently repaired, sanded, primed, painted and clearcoated the
BUMPERS on my 90 Carat. They look like new, but just the bumpers cost
half of what you are quoted for the whole car at $1K.

And that was doing everything myself. Don't go for a thousand dollar
paint job. I was dumb enough two years ago to have a cheap job done
around my windshield to save the rust and seal the leaks. Looked OK but
guess what? It all rips right off with a pressure washer, leaving me to
sand, prime and paint all that too.

Don't do it.
